Finca d’Aldana is a large countryside estate of more than 40 acres, set in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Serra de Tramuntana, surrounded by mountains and stunning views across the Bunyola valley towards the Bay of Palma.
The estate has a rich and fascinating history that dates back to the 13th century, when the land was used for livestock, agriculture and olive oil production; a tradition that continues to this day. The earliest historical records mention the existence of a rural mosque on the estate, along with fortifications constructed by King James I, and in the 15th century, Dominican Saint Vincent Ferrer preached to the estate workers here.
Owned by the same family since the 19th Century, in 1920 the old rural buildings were expanded, renovated and turned into the stunning family home you see today. Aside from the amazing story behind this home, the outdoor spaces at Finca d’Aldana are a major highlight.
Designed to make the most of the breathtaking views, the swimming pool terrace and covered al fresco dining area are perfectly positioned to overlook the mountains and valley beyond.
The 'clastre', a typical Mallorcan style courtyard, enclosed on three sides and open towards the landscape, creates an inviting and characterful space to relax together.
Inside, the villa balances traditional Mallorcan atmosphere with modern comforts, offering spacious accommodation for up to 16 guests across eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms. Numerous hiking paths, olive groves and panoramic viewpoints make this part of Mallorca particularly appealing for guests wanting to experience the island beyond the busier resort areas. Just a five-minute drive away, Jardins d’Alfàbia is one of the area’s most well-known historic estates and gardens.
Set at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains, the gardens are known for their shaded walkways, fountains, palm-lined paths and historic house, offering a peaceful place to explore during warmer days.
The setting combines landscaped gardens with mountain scenery and gives visitors another opportunity to experience the traditional character and natural beauty of this part of Mallorca. The nearby village of Bunyola offers a traditional local atmosphere with cafés, restaurants and small shops, while Palma can be reached in around 30 minutes by car.
