Cocoonr invites you to stay at The Lily of the West, an elegant, newly built Scandinavian-style house with a timber frame and black timber cladding.
Situated in Saint-Lunaire, less than 1 km from Longchamp beach and close to Dinard Golf Club, this property enjoys an ideal location between the charming villages of Saint-Lunaire and Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, often referred to as the jewels of the
Emerald Coast.
Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the house captivates with its minimalist style, high-quality materials and carefully selected furnishings, notably from French and local manufacturers.
Air-conditioned and bathed in light, it offers high-end amenities for a stay characterised by comfort and elegance.
With a floor area of 104 m², it can accommodate up to 8 guests.
As soon as you step inside, you’ll appreciate its cosy and functional living area, opening onto a lovely south-east-facing garden, ideal for making the most of beautiful Breton days. The house is laid out as follows: On the ground floor: As soon as you arrive, you’ll find a magnificent 37 m² living room, bathed in light thanks to its large bay windows opening directly onto the south-facing garden. - The lounge/living area has been designed to combine comfort and conviviality.
It features a sofa whose deep seats and low armrests create a welcoming and open space, two armchairs with reclining backs (Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Jeanneret) and a wall-mounted smart TV. - The dining area features a superb table made of old elm, complete with benches and stools, ideal for sharing cosy moments with family or friends. - The open-plan kitchen, with its sleek design and fully equipped layout, makes cooking a breeze.
It features, in particular, a 4-ring induction hob with an integrated extractor hood, an oven, a dishwasher, an electric kettle, a Nespresso pod coffee machine, a toaster, a Bamix hand blender, as well as a wide range of high-quality appliances to ensure you can prepare your meals in the best possible conditions. - This entire living space enjoys plenty of natural light throughout the day. To make your cool evenings even more enjoyable, a Norwegian wood-burning stove – next to which a small stool from the Éditions Midi design studio invites you to sit – creates a warm and cosy atmosphere.
A few logs will be provided free of charge for your first fire. - A separate toilet completes this level. - Bedroom 1: Master Suite Located on the ground floor, it features a queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm), a clothes rack and an en-suite bathroom separated by a sliding door.
The bathroom features a walk-in shower, a toilet and a heated towel rail, ensuring optimal comfort. Upstairs: - Bedroom No. 2: Master Suite: Featuring a queen-size bed (160 x 200), this bedroom has an en-suite bathroom comprising a walk-in shower, a toilet and a heated towel rail, ensuring optimal comfort.
It also includes a superb dressing room with wardrobes, storage space and a safe, facing a workspace fitted with a stool from the Éditions Midi design studio, and lit by a table lamp handmade from washi paper, designed by Isamu Noguchi. - Bedroom No. 3: Fitted with a queen-size bed (160 x 200) and a clothes rail, it offers a minimalist and comfortable space where guests can practise yoga or Pilates (a mat is provided free of charge). - Bedroom No. 4: Also featuring a queen-size bed (160 x 200) and a clothes rack, it enjoys a pleasant direct view of the garden. - A third separate bathroom, shared by bedrooms 3 and 4, completes the floor.
It features a walk-in shower, toilet and heated towel rail. All the bedrooms in the house are equipped with heating and air conditioning, electric roller shutters and a luggage rack. Additional facilities: A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the lean-to, which is directly accessible from the garden.
An ironing board and iron are also provided. Outdoors: - The 170 m² enclosed garden, facing south-east, was designed by the BAR studio.
Fully landscaped and planted with trees, it offers an intimate and idyllic setting. Here you’ll find a ‘Palissade’ garden furniture set designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, comprising a table, two benches and two armchairs, a parasol, and an electric plancha. Forge Adour for your al fresco meals. The little extra that makes all the difference: an outdoor shower in the garden, ideal when you return from the beach. The house is ideally situated on the hills above Saint-Lunaire, overlooking Longchamp beach and heading towards Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, in a new, quiet and particularly pleasant residential neighbourhood. You’ll enjoy a prime location where everything is within walking distance: about 1 km away (a 15-minute walk), you’ll find shops and everyday amenities, including bakeries, a butcher’s, a grocery shop, cafés, restaurants, newsagents and many other conveniences. The Curieuse bookshop on Boulevard du Général de Gaulle offers a highly specialised selection of books. The region’s iconic beaches are also easily accessible. The Grande Plage in Saint-Lunaire is about 1 km away on foot.
There you can enjoy the beach huts, the yacht club and the many summer events organised on the esplanade. Longchamp Beach, renowned for surfing and board sports, is a 950-metre walk away and will also delight those who love the thrills of the ocean. Dinard Golf Club, one of France’s oldest courses, is a 5-minute drive from the house.
Set amongst gorse and broom, across moorland, dunes and cliffs, it is an 18-hole links course. The charming town centre of Saint-Briac-sur-Mer is about 2 km away.
There you’ll discover an elegant and charming atmosphere, beautiful beaches, as well as iconic landmarks such as the Château du Nessay, ideal for a drink on the terrace or a moment of relaxation with a sea view.
Numerous restaurants round off the local offering. Local life revolves around the local markets: the one in Saint-Lunaire is held every Sunday throughout the year and is particularly popular during the summer months.
In Saint-Briac-sur-Mer, the market takes place every Friday all year round, with an additional summer market held on Mondays in July and August. Transport: If you’re travelling by car, there is space to park two vehicles in front of the house.
There are two above-ground parking spaces suitable for vehicles of all sizes. Useful distances: Saint-Malo railway station: 15 km Rennes Airport: 80 km Dinard: 4.5 km On arrival, you can check in independently (key box). If you opt for a face-to-face welcome, you will receive a personalised welcome from a service provider selected by the Cocoonr agency in Dinard.
They will show you around the accommodation, answer any questions you may have and hand over the keys. Other notes: - Cleaning is included in the rental price and 4* hotel-quality linen is provided (sheets, bath towels, tea towels); your bed will be made up on arrival. - Free Wi-Fi is available (fibre optic) - The wood-burning stove is provided for leisure purposes.
It is not safe for young children and its use is entirely at the occupants’ own risk.
