Bude Bolthole is a beautifully presented coastal retreat and just a two-minute stroll from Bude town centre.
Perfectly suited to surfers, swimmers, families and dog owners alike, this welcoming home offers a relaxed base within easy walking distance of everything—just five minutes to Summerleaze Beach and ten minutes to the iconic sea pool. Downstairs, the property features a bright and sociable open-plan kitchen and dining area, fully equipped with everything you need including an oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and all essential cookware, tableware and utensils.
A separate comfortable lounge provides a welcoming spot to unwind, with plenty of seating and natural light.
There’s also a practical utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer and an undercover drying rack—perfect for wetsuits, beach gear and outdoor clothing after a day exploring the coast. Upstairs, there are two beautifully presented bedrooms, both offering superking-size beds for ultimate comfort.
The second bedroom can be arranged as a twin thanks to a zip-and-link setup, making it ideal for families or friends sharing.
The bathroom is modern and well-appointed, featuring a bath with an overhead rainfall shower as well as a handheld attachment, offering flexibility whether you’re after a quick rinse or a long soak after a day in the sea. Outside, the enclosed garden provides a safe and private space to relax, ideal for both children and dogs.
One of the standout features is the outdoor shower—perfect for rinsing off sandy feet, wetsuits or muddy paws after beach walks or surf sessions.
The property also benefits from an EV charger, with electricity usage payable via a separate app, making it a convenient choice for electric vehicle owners. Bude Bolthole is exceptionally dog friendly, going far beyond the basics to ensure your four-legged companions feel just as welcome.
There is no charge for dogs and numbers are flexible, with no restrictions on breeds.
The enclosed garden offers peace of mind, while inside, dogs are welcome on sofas and beds with throws thoughtfully provided.
Dog bowls, holiday tags and towels are all included, and the outdoor shower makes cleaning up after adventures effortless. The location is ideal for exploring Bude and beyond.
Within minutes you can be enjoying the golden sands of Summerleaze Beach, the historic sea pool, independent shops, cafés and restaurants, or scenic walks along the South West Coast Path.
The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with surfing, coastal hiking and wild swimming all on your doorstep.
Further afield, you can explore the dramatic cliffs of North Cornwall, charming nearby villages, and attractions such as Tintagel Castle or the Hartland Heritage Coast, all within easy driving distance—making Bude Bolthole the perfect base for a memorable coastal getaway. Noticed right away that the TV remote had batteries inside, small but useful detail. We found the cottage suited two people perfectly with enough storage upstairs and a comfy seating area down below. Kitchen gear covered all basic cooking needs without fuss. The private terrace also gave us a nice outdoor spot for meals or reading.
