Quince Cottage is a welcoming 16th‑century house in Lewes, East Sussex, offering three storeys of characterful living, four bedrooms, and an enclosed garden, with shops, a pub, the river, and a lake all close by. Inside, exposed beams and centuries-old charm set a distinctive backdrop for time away, beginning in the well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare simple meals before gathering in the dining room for shared breakfasts and evening suppers.
The sitting room, warmed by an electric fire, is ideal for unhurried evenings, while the snug provides a second living space for reading or play.
Lewes itself offers wonderfully rich days out. Begin with a wander to Lewes Castle & Museum for panoramic views across the town, then browse the shelves at the much-loved Depot cinema and café or explore the twisting aisles of the famed Lewes Flea Market.
