Away from the busy tourist cities, you can enjoy the peace and charm of the Provençal countryside. Yet you won’t feel isolated — Nice, Cannes, Antibes, as well as Valbonne (beautiful Friday market), Biot (famous glassworks), the perched village of Gourdon (stunning panoramic views!), Saint-Paul-de-Vence, the Gorges du Loup, numerous hiking trails, golf courses, equestrian centers… and all water sports along the coast are nearby. You can also spend a day relaxing on the Lérins Islands (reachable by ferry from Cannes) or take a day trip to Italy (San Remo’s large market on Tuesdays and Saturdays). The Southern Alps are close by, offering activities such as canyoning, tree-top adventures (Europe’s largest zip line at La Colmiane), climbing, and more. Le Rouret itself has shops, supermarkets, bakeries, a pharmacy, restaurants, and pizzerias, as well as summer entertainment on the village square (magic shows, music, theater). ## Transit A bus line passes through Le Rouret, connecting Grasse to Nice. Train station in Grasse. ## Notes

There was an unusual mixup at checking which prevented me from giving this a 5 star rating. However, the host was very responsive and friendly and got things fixed up right away. The property itself was fantastic!
