9 km from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Saint-Etienne-du-Grès, renowned for its wholesale fruit and vegetable market, is home to this beautiful, fully-air conditioned 300 m2 farmhouse. It was built in the 17th century and protected by large stone walls which shelter the property and prevent others from looking in. Only 15 minutes away you can visit Les Baux-de-Provence, a prestigious site at the heart of the Alpilles or play golf at the Domaine de Manville course. Avignon and the Papal Palace is less than 30 min away, as well as Arles and Nimes and numerous other Roman sites to visit.
INSIDE
The entrance to the farmhouse features a large glass door that opens onto the spacious living/dining room, with the two areas separated by a modern double-sided fireplace. Also on the ground floor is the Provençal kitchen with access to one of the farmhouse terraces, as well as a separate toilet. Another small living room with a sofa is very nice for a quiet break to read or relax. It connects to the upper floor, where a hall/living room with two single beds and a separate toilet leads to a bedroom with a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with a private toilet. A second stone staircase leads from the large living room to the other part of the first floor, which has three bedrooms. One has a large double bed and an en-suite shower room with private toilet. The other two each have a large double bed and an en-suite bathroom with private toilet. There is also a laundry room.
OUTSIDE
The farmhouse is in a nearly 2,000 m2 landscaped plot with a private heated swimming pool located behind the property in a courtyard which offers absolute privacy. A large pool house with changing room, shower room and separate WC lets you to spend some lovely moments by the pool. Numerous activities are possible in the spacious gardens, such as pétanque or table tennis. The property has a 30 m2 terrace covered by vines offering shade. The second 25 m2 terrace is great due to its proximity to the kitchen where you can take your meals in the shade of the olive tree. The property has an old working wood oven which is great for pizzas. In the middle of the garden, a small house which includes games is for the little ones. A large covered parking space enables you to park three cars under shelter.
