As a UNESCO biosphere reserve, the Spreewald provides a unique habitat for numerous animal and plant species, making it the perfect place for all nature lovers to enjoy hours of undisturbed cycling or hiking through the endless forests - because you are in one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Europe.The newly created castle island with its green spaces, hiking trails, play facilities, new river courses, barge harbour and tourist information centre is the focal point for all excursions in Lübben, making it the main port of call for tourists seeking relaxation.
