Smugglers Cottage is a lovely pet-friendly property in the village of Barton on Sea, situated in Hampshire.

This property is perfect for a family or a group of friends, boasting ground-floor living, exposed beams, and being close to the beach.

Step into your new holiday abode to meet the charming sitting room.

Pick between the two-seater sofa or three armchairs to sit down in as you soak in the lovely setting which is now your home away from home.

In the kitchen, you will find everything you need for a fantastic self-catered stay.

Use the electric oven, gas hob and microwave to cook up a treat.

Plate it up on the dining table and tuck in together whilst you share some laughs from times gone by. If the sun is shining, then be sure to dine alfresco in the enclosed rear garden.

Sit in the conservatory while the little ones and the dogs run about on the lawn.

After you watch the sun set with a drink in hand, head back inside to find a series or a film to watch on the Smart TV for some evening entertainment.

If you prefer some quiet time, pick a book out from the selection and head to the snug.

Feeling sleepy? Drift off to the calls of the local Tawny Owl and the Dark Skies of the Solent Way. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms or stay in the snug, which has a single sofa bed, convenient for those who prefer not to tackle any stairs.

In the mornings, get a refreshing shower in the ground-floor shower room or have a soak in the bath upstairs.

A shop and a pub are short drives away for any essentials or a drink out. In Barton-on-Sea, have a great day out at the beach, feeling the waves tickle your toes, go for a hike to see the sights on the Cliff Top View or take on one another on the Barton on Sea Golf Course.

In Highcliffe, explore Highcliffe Castle, then go to the Steamer Point Nature Reserve or find the perfect picnic spot in the Lakewood open space park.

Slighlty further afield in Bournemouth have tons of fun on the pier with amusements and boat rides calling your name, view some wonderful creatures at the Oceanarium or take a stroll through the Bournemouth Parks Lower Gardens.

Please note: this property can only accommodate Friday arrivals. Smugglers Cottage consists of a kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, tall upright freezer in utility area, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and toaster, pod coffee maker, a dining room, a sitting room with an electric wood-burner and Smart TV, and a snug with a sofa bed. Generous Welcome Pack: bread, butter, eggs, milk, wine and biscuits. The bedrooms consist of two doubles, along with a bathroom with bath, basin and WC, and a ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Central heating, fuel, power, starter pack for wood-burner, bed linen, towels and WiFi are all included in the price. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with patio, lawn and furniture, and off-road parking is available for 2 cars. Within 1 mile, you will find a shop, within 1.4 miles, a pub, within 1.5 miles, a lake, within 0.5 miles, a river, and within 0.7 miles, a beach. Please note this is a non-smoking property, and two well-behaved dogs are welcome. A splendid holiday awaits at Smugglers Cottage. Please note: this property can only accommodate Friday arrivals.

Very disappointed with smugglers cottage Beds very uncomfortable WiFi did not work a lot of the time when advertised as having WiFi so I could not work Not very clean cobwebs all over the place Heard mice in the loft (we are pest controllers so know what we are on about) Dated and uncomfortable furniture Property needs tlc like rusty rad in bathroom etc

This was our first visit to Smugglers cottage. It’s situated in a quiet area with only birdsong audible. The cottage is very quaint with a pretty garden. The furniture is good quality. We loved the quirkiness of the cottage and the beautiful garden. The conservatory was a bonus, particularly as we had some lovely weather. We did have a few encounters with the low beams and the low door to the stairs..quite tricky. Sadly we had big problems with internet connection. More off than o...
