Check out The Spyglass Inn down on the esplanade with views right over the beach.
Blackgang Chine, the UK’s oldest amusement park is a short drive away and promises a magical day out for both children and adults alike with its fascinating mix of rides, mazes and exhibitions.
A stunning coastal drive from Blackgang Chine leads you towards West Wight and The Needles.
Further afield, the sandy expanse of Shanklin Beach is a haven for sun and sea lovers, while Shanklin Chine, a verdant gorge with rare plants and a charming waterfall, offers tranquillity and natural beauty in abundance.
No visit to the Isle of Wight would be complete without a stop at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary, where a friendly herd waits to charm you with their antics.
For wildlife enthusiasts, the expansive Wildheart Animal Sanctuary promises close encounters with a variety of animals.
A journey through time awaits at Dinosaur Isle with its impressive collection of dinosaur fossils and interactive displays, or marvel at the stunningly well-preserved mosaics and relics at Brading Roman Villa.

We really enjoyed our stay at Poppy Cottage . The house was, very homely with everything we needed. There was lots of space and the garden was peaceful and secluded. Both bedrooms were big with plenty of storage and views to die for. We were blessed with sunny weather all week too. Would thoroughly recommend the cottage and many thanks to the owners .

We had a lovely week at Poppy Cottage. Very clean and welcoming. The only drawback was the bath, which we found to be very awkward to get out of.
