Chestnut Lodge is an enchanting property near the village of Rosliston, Derbyshire.
This holiday home is perfect for a family or a group of friends wanting a getaway as it has wheelchair accessibility, open-plan living, whilst being in the Rosliston Forestry Centre, with splendid views all around.
Walk into your new holiday base and be welcomed in by the open-plan living space.
Claim the corner of the sofa or sit yourself down on the other furniture to indulge in your new pleasant surroundings.
If you fancy a bite to eat, make the most of the fully-kitted out kitchen.
Use the electric oven and hobs to make a treat that smells so good it attracts everyone around the dining table.
Dish up some traditional summer foods to eat at the picnic bench.
Wash it down with a drink or two whilst the gorgeous scenery paints a pretty picture for you to admire.
Take in the sunset before heading back inside when the night time sky enters the fray.

Chestnut Lodge consists of an open-plan living space with a kitchen including an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, and a TV with Freeview. The bedrooms consist of a super-king-size, a twin, a twin with hospital bed and a double bunk, along with a wet room with walk-in shower, basin and WC with hoist provided, a shower room. Outside, there is a non-enclosed front garden with decking, lawn and seating, and ample off-road parking. This is a non-smoking property. Heat, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Stay at Chestnut Lodge for a lovely holiday. Highchair and travel cot available on request. Note: Property is accessible for wheelchairs. Hire of a commode, hoist, shower chair, travel cot or highchair available on request. All-terrain tramper, scooter and wheelchair are also available to hire on request but at a cost paid directly to Rosliston Forestry Centre. Please note: there is no WIFI at the property

This is my second visit here within a year with my friends, and we’re already planning another trip soon. It’s such a peaceful place—perfect for a relaxing walk or enjoying a BBQ together. There’s also a lovely, friendly pub just a 10-minute walk away. Highly recommend this spot!

Fantastic Cottage We had such a good time there, that I have already booked againg for April 2026. Great places to walk & pub only 10 minutes away. Could be our go to place on a yearly basis

We come here year after year. Unfortunately this year the hot water broke down half way through the stay and couldn’t be fixed!
