Middle Cottage is a lovely, quaint home nestled in the heart of Louth’s desirable Conservation Area in Lincolnshire.
A tastefully-renovated 1840s Georgian home, it envelops you in its warm charm from the moment you put the key in the door.
Only a short walk to a shop, pub, and river, this cottage welcomes small families, friends, or couples to stay in this pretty setting.
You enter the property into a warm and inviting sitting room with a three-seater sofa, a spacious coffee table, and a Smart TV setup.
Whether you want a sun-soaked afternoon reading beneath the original large sash window (with direct views of the roof and spire of Louth’s cherished St James’ Church) or a relaxed evening snuggled under an extra-large sofa throw, you’ll find a comfortable and accommodating spot for you. Through to the kitchen, you’ll have a full-size oven and four-burner gas hob at your disposal, with a set of BergHOFF pans and all the other essentials you might need to rustle up something delicious.
Don’t fancy cooking? No worries—a kettle, toaster, and microwave are provided for quick bites to eat. In the pleasant wet room, you’ll enjoy a powerful walk-in shower, heated towel rail, and large mirror (with separate cosmetic mirror), with eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and plenty of fluffy white face cloths and towels provided.
Up the typically steep and winding original Georgian staircase are two well-presented bedrooms.
The primary bedroom enjoys stunning views of St James’ Church and surrounding rooftops from its own large sash window, and benefits from a double bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables with lamps, and an open wardrobe with shelves, hanging rail, and suitcase space.
The secondary bedroom provides a single bed, a smaller chest of drawers, and a beautiful writing desk and chair with views out onto the neighbouring properties on Broadbank.
Both bedrooms have highly-rated premium orthopaedic mattresses, anti-allergen bedding with protectors, and fresh white linens certified by OEKO-TEX against any harmful environmental, social, or chemical impacts, all accented with designer cushions and throws.
Out the back, you’ll find a cute, walled, shared-access courtyard garden with twinkling fairy lights and a bistro set, and a separate bricked wash house with washing machine and tumble dryer for longer stays.
Please note the shared courtyard garden is not enclosed and cannot be blocked off to keep pets in due to neighbours' access requirements and fire safety.
Guests are asked to walk their pets outside the front of the property and in the neighbouring park and not allow pets to use the shared courtyard as a bathroom.

Middle Cottage consists of a kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle, toaster, a sitting room with Smart TV and a study area. The bedrooms consist of a double and a single, serviced by a ground-floor wet room. Outside, there is a shared rear courtyard with furniture and roadside parking available, plus additional parking in nearby public car parks. We welcome well behaved pets, but sorry, no smoking or vaping. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Shop 0.1 miles, pub 0.1 miles, river 0.2 miles. Enjoy a quaint escape to Lincolnshire with a stay at Middle Cottage. Note: No open flames. Note: No loud music, parties, or additional guests. Note: The fireplace in the sitting room is for decoration only. Note: Washing machine and tumble dryer located in external building. Note: Although small pet bowls are provided, please bring your own pet beds/supplies.
