"The Bays" is a charming 2-bedroom cottage located in the tranquil hamlet of Bowcombe. Welcoming up to 5 guests and 3 dogs the cottage is ideally positioned for those looking to relax and unwind in a peaceful location.
LOCATION
Nestled in the heart of the Isle of Wight, this idyllic retreat offers views of Carisbrooke Castle and the surrounding countryside, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Perfect for walkers, the property provides easy access to the Tennyson and Shepherds trails, and is close to local footpaths.
The nearby villages of Carisbrooke and Shorwell feature excellent pubs serving hearty, home-cooked meals.
Nature lovers will enjoy exploring the nearby bays and coves, with Brighstone Bay just a short drive away.
Larger resorts like Ventnor and Shanklin are also within reach. ACCOMMODATION GROUND FLOOR Cosy lounge offering comfortable seating and a wood burning stove and TV. The open plan kitchen/diner provides a well equipped kitchen including a washing machine, dish washer and oven and dining table and chairs. Shower room off the kitchen has a good size shower, wc and hand basin. Steep stairs to the first floor may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues FIRST FLOOR Spacious double bedroom with a feature fire place, wardrobes and chests of drawers. The second bedroom has a triple bunk bed Outdoor Space: Off road parking for 1 car is available at the front of the property.
The rear lawn has steps up to the lawn. ADDITIONAL CHARGES We've partnered with Yhangry to bring exceptional dining right to your accommodation.

The charge is £35 per pet, per week and we kindly ask that you bring your own bedding for your pet(s). Please ensure that you correctly add your pet(s) when making your booking, so this additional cost is included.
If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately. Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £35 or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £150 before check-in. If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure. There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the marketing only, of this property and the owners’ details will be made available to you by email ahead of your arrival, should you need to contact them with any issues or queries relating to your stay, please also refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details. Amazing weeks stay at The Bay, Bowcombe. A lovely quaint cottage. Absolutely everything you could need supplied by host Stephen. Loads of storage space in kitchen and bedrooms. Lovely modern bathroom and shower was great. Great garden with lovely views and lots of wildlife to see. Highly recommend this lovely place and will definitely return again.

Steve was very helpful and gave thoughtful recommendations of where to explore. Very good food at the Blacksmiths Arms (need to book), and the Crown. Public footpaths about 100 metres from the house. Rabbits and pheasants came in the garden.
Steve helped by putting a bench across to enclose the garden. A more permanent solution would be good for children and dogs.

Peace and quiet, very clean, well equipped, good location, comfy
Proper thicker hand soap, more dw tablets and washing up liquid. Gate so dog does not run off. Outdoor bath or hot tub. Larger fridge with wine storage - we lost a bottle from the vineyard as fell out of the side door. Bit of mold in b...
