The Poppies is a charming 3-bedroom Grade II listed barn conversion, blending 15th-century heritage with contemporary. Situated in the quaint village of Brighstone, this remarkable property boasts character features such as vaulted ceilings, timber accents, and stone elements, all seamlessly integrated with modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
Brighstone is renowned for its iconic thatched cottages and breath taking countryside, making The Poppies the perfect getaway for guests looking to explore this picturesque village.
Whether you're strolling through the village or enjoying the surrounding countryside, it’s also a wonderful place to bring your dog along, as the area offers plenty of scenic walks and outdoor activities for all to enjoy. LOCATION Situated in the Southwestern part of the Island, the village lies close to Brighstone Bay, a scenic part of the island's coastline, offering stunning views and opportunities for walking, cycling, and enjoying the outdoors.
It is a peaceful, quiet location that attracts visitors seeking a more tranquil experience on the Isle of Wight.
The village offers a pub, store, historical church and architectural buildings to admire. Approximately 15 minutes drive to Newport, the capital of the Island it is ideally positioned for access to explore the Island. ACCOMMODATION GROUND FLOOR Enter to the property to a grand welcoming hallway off which is a cloakroom and staircase to the first floor.
The lounge and sunroom/dining room boast floor-to-ceiling picture windows/doors, flooding the space with natural light.
A fully-equipped breakfast kitchen and utility with a washing machine provide convenience.
The downstairs double bedroom features an en suite with a spacious walk-in shower and WC. FIRST FLOOR Two twin bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, serviced by a family bathroom with a bath, separate shower cubicle, and WC. The largest twin bedroom offers versatility with the added benefit of a 4ft 6 futon (additional charge applies for use) accommodating 2 additional guests. OUTSIDE A gravel drive with parking for multiple cars and stone wall-enclosed courtyard gardens are at the front and rear.
A sprawling lawn area on the side offers views of open countryside. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Hand wash, kitchen starter pack with basics (dishwater tablets, washing up liquid and cloth) is provided. ADDITIONAL CHARGES We've partnered with Yhangry to bring exceptional dining right to your accommodation.
From arrival meals to celebration dinners, enjoy restaurant-quality dining without ever leaving your new home. (Prices from £30pp). PLEASE NOTE: Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £40or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £200 before check-in. If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure Pets: Up to 2 well-behaved pets are welcome (£35 per pet, per week). Please bring your own pet bedding and add pets at booking so the fee is included.
If undeclared pets are discovered, the fee will be requested separately. There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.
There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.

Fabulous place to stay. Comfy sofas Lovely gardens Clean n tidy
The only critique I can offer is perhaps a double in the first bedroom at top of stairs. That way two couples can come, or an elderly parent and their daughter/son in law and noone is fighting over the downstairs double.
