La Casita includes a full kitchen with coffee, a full bathroom with tub, and fast fiber-optic Wi-Fi.
The living area features a 65” smart TV with quality sound, making it a comfortable spot to unwind after a long day.
Guests also have access to a shared grassy, shaded yard, which is common space shared with the nearby Historic Carriage House and Queen Anne Art House.
Off-street parking is available, and we can typically accommodate trucks and trailers.
If you’re traveling with a larger rig, please check with us in advance.
One of the hosts is almost always available to answer questions via message or text.
We live 35 miles east of town on a ranch.
We are not typically around the property when guests arrive (I wish we were) but please feel free to reach out with any questions.
The apartment is accessed by stairs, which are somewhat steep.
Please take care when coming and going.
Green bear-proof dumpsters are located just across the street and are available for guest use.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared yard areas.
La Casita also has its own small patio with chairs located at the base of the stairs.
Raton is a small town so walking is easy but parking is plentiful so driving is fine too

We’re right off 2nd Street which is the main drag through Raton. There is a great little trail system "Climax Canyon" available for hiking and biking just a few blocks away. It is easily walkable to downtown where you'll find eating options including, Bruno’s (pizza, wings, salad), Los Chanquis, Mexican and Seafood, Enchanted Grounds (coffee and sandwiches), La Cocina (Mexican) and the local brewery Colfax Ale Cellar. Sage Coffee is the other direction (south) just a few blocks and has the best coffee in town as well as fresh baked goods and pastries.
