Holiday home for 10 - 12 people Beautiful Provencal villa with outstanding views of the Mediterranean
Large provencal luxury villa situated on a south-facing hillside with a magnificent view of the valley and the Mediterranean.
The view of the 50 km long coastline, with the Italian Alps to the east, Cap d'Antibes and Cannes bay and Esterel mountains to the west is fantastic and absolutely breathtaking.
On the clearest days there are views to the island of Corsica, 200 km south of the coast. The villa is located just outside the beautiful medieval town of Vence with 19,000 inhabitants on the French Riviera.
Vence is known for its museums and galleries for contemporary and experimental art, as well as decorative architecture.
The old medieval city walls, church and old houses offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes, where you will find everything from the high gastronomic experiences to authentic traditional brasseries.
In addition to the local market that daily offers fruit and vegetables from the surrounding area, the city center is every Tuesday and Friday transformed into a traditional Provencal market and Thursday to a flea market with everything your heart desires. The plot which is located on a south-facing hillside consists of 6 terrace levels.
The house is located on one of the high levels and is south-oriented.
In front of the villa there is a large terrace with flowering trees and shrubs as well as many pots with flowers and herbs.
On the way down through the garden you will find the rose terrace.
In the middle of this terrace there is an old lime tree.
Under this tree you can sit down surrounded by flowering roses and enjoy the shade and the silence.
At the level below the house there is a small grove of 20 beautiful old olive trees and fragrant lavender. The pool is located on the level below the olive grove.
The pool goes right to the edge of the terrace level, from where you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Mediterranean.
The pool is 18 meters long and 5 meters wide, of which the first 4 meters are shallow water for young children.
The pool is a soft water pool and can in the coolest seasons be heated.
Next to the pool there is a shady pool house furnished with running water, a beautiful old stone sink, bricked barbeque, a small refrigerator and a wooden table and chairs. The villa "La Tour de Vence" is a very special house.
It has been visited by many interesting people and has hosted everything from big, beautiful parties, weddings, seminars, lectures and concerts to small intimate dinners. The villa is in 2 levels built after old Provencal Bastide traditions. The main entrance on the ground level is below a small stone bridge.
On the ground-floor you will find a 45 m2 large modern dining kitchen equipped with quality appliances.
In direct connection with the kitchen there is a small pantry kitchen.
From the kitchen there is access to south facing covered terrace with dining area for 12 people.
In extension of this terrace, to the west, you will find a large tiled terrace with a traditional brick barbeque and 3-500 year old olive trees that provides shade.
Large living room of 80 m2 with comfortable furniture and access via 4 large patio door to a south facing patio area with grass and lounge furniture.
The tower, with views to all corners of the world, is furnished as a small office.
On this floor there is also a laundry and linen/ironing room and two toilets. On the 1st floor you will find the villas 5 bedrooms.
All rooms are furnished with double beds consisting of 2 beds a 90 × 200 cm with down quilts and pillows.
All rooms have views of the Mediterranean, en-suite modern bathrooms and wifi.
Room 1 of 26 m2 is furnished with a double bed and a sofa bed for 2 persons, room 2 of 30 m2 is furnished with a double bed and has a small alcove with a sofa bed for 2 persons, room 3 on 21 m2 is furnished with a double bed, room 4 at 21 m2 is furnished with a double bed, room 5 is the master bedroom of 45 m2 and is furnished with large antique wardrobe and shoe closet in the hall, double bed, 40 " flat screen, large bathroom with shower and tub, an east-facing balcony and a charming tower room with closets and mirrors and small fireplace.
