Steam and Stay @ Hoole is a newly renovated (2026), delightful, dog-friendly, detached holiday cottage in the centre of Hoole, a quaint village within the thriving city of Chester, Cheshire.

Boasting an unbeatable location near local amenities and the city centre, an enclosed rear yard, and three well-appointed bedrooms, Cedar Grove is the perfect choice for families or friends looking to explore Cheshire.

Begin your getaway by utilising the off-road parking before crossing the threshold into your new home away from home.

Here, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for cooking up a storm.

Enjoy dinner around the spacious dining table before unwinding on the plush sofa in the sitting room in front of the Smart TV and the warming glow of the electric fire.

When your evening draws to a close, head upstairs to wash off the day’s adventures in the shower room before settling down for the night in one of the three bedrooms: choose between a double with Smart TV, a twin, and a single bedroom.

In the morning, your adventure truly begins.

Venture to the local shop to stock up on all your self-catering essentials before exploring the city.

Take a gentle stroll into the city centre where you can marvel at the breathtaking architecture of Chester Cathedral, step back in time with a walk around Chesters city walls, some of the best preserved in the UK, or head down to the River Dee for a riverside walk with a delicious ice cream from Snugburys.

If you’re looking for a day of fun, hop in the car and spend the day at Chester Zoo, which is considered one of the UK’s best; there’s something for the whole family to enjoy here.

Alternatively, venture to Cheshire Oaks for a spot of shopping or marvel at marine life at Blue Planet Aquarium.

The Cloud House @ Hoole is also ideally placed for those looking to explore North Wales.

Head to the coast where you can walk your pooch along the sandy shores of Talacre Beach or visit Wrexham, home to Wrexham AFC and the beautiful National Trust property Erddig.

All this and more awaits at Cedar Grove!

Steam and Stay @ Hoole has three bedrooms: 1 double with Smart TV, 1 twin, and 1 single. The bathroom features a bath with shower over, basin, and WC. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The living/dining room includes an electric fire and 2 Smart TVs with WiFi. There is also a downstairs toilet. Gas central heating is provided, and fuel and power are included in the rent, along with bed linen and towels. Off-road parking is available for 2 cars. The enclosed rear courtyard with a hot tub is ideal for relaxing. One well-behaved dog is welcome, but smoking is not permitted. A shop and pub are both 0.1 miles away. Note: A sofa bed in the living room offers flexible sleeping arrangements. Make memories at Cedar Grove.

Really enjoyed our stay here. When we ran into some trouble with the hot Sandy was super responsive and came to sort it so our legs that were sore from hiking could still make the most of it. I will just mention that there was only 1 towel each so if you plan to use the hot tub then do bring another with you.

Good location the only thing is that it seem that no one provides normal TV it's all apps which is disappointing apart from that great 3 bed house

There was no information given regarding the appliances, heating/water usage - and the WI-FI code should have been given so that new guests do not have to find it themselves. All doors creaked (I fixed them); floor boards on landing are very noisy; floor in bathroom is spongy (most likely caused by ...
