This wonderful holiday house 'Sommerhus' for 5 persons is situated at bungalow park Villemaire in Zonnemaire on the island Schouwen-Duiveland. This luxurious, atmospherically furnished house is fitted with all modern conveniences, allowing you to enjoy a fantastic holiday! It is situated, with 14 other holiday houses, at this quiet, spacious, green park, in an oasis of peace. Zonnemaire is situated near Brouwershaven, Renesse and Ellemeet. It is an ideal destination for those seeking tranquility and a pleasant environment for families with young children who can play in the garden to their heart's content. The garden is completely enclosed and is therefore ideal for small children or a dog.

You can make lovely walks and long cycling tours in the surrounding area. Neighbouring nature reserves such as De Grevelingen, Plan Tureluur and the Oosterschelde are beautiful and definitely worth a visit. De Grevelingen is extremely popular among water sports enthusiasts. Nearby you will find a small beach, allowing you to sunbathe and go for a swim, with small children. The North Sea beach is situated at 8 km of the bungalow park. A holiday house at Bungalowpark Villemaire in Zonnemaire guarantees a lovely holiday, with plenty of peace and space.

Daily groceries can be found in the nice town of Brouwershaven, a 7-minute drive away. In Zonnemaire, a few minutes' walk from your holiday home, there is a good restaurant with a cozy terrace. As our guest you can also use the facilities of Hofstede Villetta. You can rent bicycles here, order breakfast or participate in the menu of the day at the weekend.

Layout
On the ground floor you enter the house through the hall where there is also a seperate toilet. You will find also find the utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, extra fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board. The house has a spacious living room with comfortable couch, TV, DVD, CD, books, games, free internet and central heating.
The open kitchen is fitted with all modern conveniences, such as a dishwasher, mixer, toaster, filter coffee maker, senseo, electric kettle, combination oven and juicer. Dining room with large table and six chairs.

On the first floor are the three bedrooms and the bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed (200x160cm) and a cot. The second bedroom has two single beds (200x90). In the third bedroom there is one single bed (200x90cm).
The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a washbasin. There is also a separate toilet with a hand basin.

Outside, you have access from the living room to the spacious veranda and garden, equipped with garden furniture. The garden is fully fenced in, spacious and south-facing. You also have access to a parking space. There is also an electric charging station at the park.

Prices are inclusive of bed linen, energy, child’s bed, highchair and pen.
1 dog is allowed (free of charge). Max. 2 dogs in consultation. Surcharge 2nd dog: 20 Euro.

Park facilities

Park Villemaire doesn’t offer any facilities at the moment. The surrounding area offers all kinds of possibilities.

Cycling

You can make wonderful cycling tours through the polders, along fields, scenic areas and picturesque villages. There are various, marked, long and short cycling routes. Something for everybody! If you can’t bring your own bike, you can rent one. It is recommended to rent one in advance.

The Grevelingenmeer

The Grevelingenmeer is situated at 3km and offers all kinds of water sports possibilities like swimming, surfing, snorkeling and diving and a wonderful nature with special plants and birds. Perhaps you will even spot a seal in the clean inland sea!

Water sports

The surrounding area offers all kinds of water sports possibilities, like swimming, snorkelling, sailing, surfing or diving. The Grevelingenmeer, the North Sea beaches and the Oosterschelde offer all kinds of possibilities. The park  offers a clothes rack for diving suits and a sink.  Besides, divers can rent a garage to store their scuba tanks and accessories.

Culture

Schouwen-Duiveland offers many cosy, characteristic cities and villages. Most of them have preserved their authentic elements. Capital city Zierikzee has a rich history and offers many monuments. Some highlights: The gates, The big church, The thick tower and the harbour. On top of all, Zierikzee is a cosy city with many terraces and shops.

Nature

Schouwen-Duiveland is fully surrounded by water. The island offers various scenic areas, all characterized by an unique flora and fauna. The Grevelingen is the biggest salt lake of Europe and, thanks to its clear water, extremely popular among water sports enthusiasts, especially among divers. After the construction of the Brouwersdam, as part of the Delta Works, nature has changed in the course of time. Nowadays it is the habitat of both land- and coastal birds. One of the sandbars, the “Slikken of Bommenede”, is the nesting place of the Grevlelingen. In this area you will find many endangered, rare sitting birds which can be admired from the dike. The scenic area itself is not accessible as we don’t want to disturb the birds. Other scenic areas: The Oosterschelde, the Schelphoek, Plan Tureluur and the Kop van Schouwen.

Surroundings
On Schouwen-Duiveland you will find very many cozy and characteristic towns and villages, many of which still have their authentic characteristics. The capital of the island, Zierikzee, has built up a rich past through the proceeds of trade, industry and fishing and this shows in the many monuments. Do you like nightlife, sunny terraces and long beaches? Then nearby Renesse is definitely a must. For a cultural day out in the area, Watersnoodmuseum Ouwerkerk and Deltapark Neeltje Jans are definitely recommended. For a day out with the whole family, Oosterschelde National Park is very suitable, but Middelburg is also very nice for a day of culture sniffing and fun.
