The historic seaside village, which originated as a seaport of Sant'Elpidio a Mare, has now become a well-equipped seaside resort. It is characterized by a sand and gravel beach that runs for over seven kilometres, between the town and the sea. The large pine forest near the sea is bordered by a cycle path.
