Der "Upupa" ist der Wiedehopf, der die grünen Täler und Hügel rund um das gleichnamige Ferienhaus zwischen Camerota und seiner Marina bewohnt. Dabei ist das geschmackvolle Haus in seiner Architektur ebenso einzigartig und unverwechselbar wie das Tier selbst. Ein weitläufiges Grundstück voller Olivenbäume und mediterraner Vegetation erstreckt sich vor der Casa dell‘Upupa, das nur eine wundervolle Blickrichtung kennt: MEER!
Die Lage des Anwesens ist dabei nahezu ideal. Man ist schnell am Meer, aber den sommerlichen Trubel in Marina di Camerota kann man geschickt umgehen. Auch als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge ist die Casa dell‘Upupa bestens eignet.

The "Upupa", the hoopoe, lives in the green valleys and hills around holiday home La Casa dell'Upupa, which is located between Camerota and its Marina. The architectural style of the tasteful house is as unique and unmistakable as the bird. Olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation adorn the spacious grounds stretching out in front of La Casa dell’Upupa, from where you have got a stunning view - towards the SEA!
The property's location is near perfect. The sea is not too far away and quickly reached, but you are apart from and can easily avoid the summertime hustle and bustle at Marina di Camerota. La Casa dell’Upupa is also a great starting point for hiking tours and excursions.

Die Casa dell’Upupa ist das Herzensprojekt seiner in Deutschland lebenden Besitzer und entstand nach mehrjähriger Umbau- und Renovierungsphase aus einstigen, simplen Stallungen. Absoluter Blickfang beim Betreten des Ferienhauses sind die aus der Wand ragenden Felsen, die seine natürliche Rückseite bilden und bewusst in die Räume integriert wurden.
La Casa dell’Upupa besteht aus zwei miteinander verbundenen Wohneinheiten, die 2023 fertig gestellt worden sind. Bei Anmietung wird stets das gesamte Haus zur Verfügung gestellt, sprich Haupthaus UND Dependance. Je nach Zusammensetzung der Reisegruppe kann man die Verbindungstür jedoch offen oder geschlossen halten.
DAS "HAUPTHAUS"
Der Haupttrakt der Casa dell’Upupa befindet sich linkerhand und besteht aus einem offenen Wohnbereich mit Küchenzeile, einem Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, einer Schlafgalerie mit Doppelbett und einem Badezimmer mit Badewanne inkl. Duschvorrichtung. Beide Schlafzimmer sind über Stufen erreichbar.
Die Küche des Haupthauses ist u.a. ausgestattet mit Elektroherd, Backofen, Kühlschrank und Geschirrspülmaschine.
DIE "DEPENDANCE"
Diese Wohneinheit bietet - wie auch das "Haupthaus" - Platz für 4 Personen. Sie kann über den Wohnbereich des Haupthauses oder über die Terrasse, die sich vor dem gesamten Haus erstreckt, betreten werden.
Die Dependance ist unterteilt in einen Wohnbereich mit Küchenzeile, Essbereich und Schlafsofa, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und ein Badezimmer mit einer gemauerten Duschkabine. Das Schlafsofa von ca. 1,40 m Breite ist von hoher Qualität mit einer hochwertigen Matratze.
In der Küche befindet sich neben einem Elektroherd und einem Kühlschrank eine Waschmaschine.
La Casa dell'Upupa sollte nie ein reines Sommerhaus sein, weshalb es mit einer Fußbodenheizung ausgestattet ist. Insbesondere für die Zeit zwischen November und März sorgt diese für noch mehr Komfort während Ihres Aufenthaltes.
DIE PANORAMATERRASSE UND DER OLIVENBAUM
Vor dem Haus erstreckt sich eine lange und leicht terrassierte Meerblickterrasse. Sie ist sowohl möbliert als auch mit zwei Sonnensegeln versehen. Nutzbar unterhalb der Terrasse ist auch ein kleiner möblierter Bereich unter einem alten, majestätischen Olivenbaum. Hier kann man einfach die Seele baumeln lassen und sich unermüdlich an dem grandiosen Küstenpanorama Camerotas ergötzen.
Wer den Tag nicht auf der Terrasse ausklingen lassen möchte, dem empfehlen wir einen kurzen Abendspaziergang zur Kapelle des Heiligen Antonio, die sich unweit des Hauses befindet. Von Einheimischen wird sie gern besucht, um von dort aus malerische und farbintensive Sonnenuntergänge zu beobachten.

THE HOUSE IN THE ROCK
La Casa dell’Upupa is the heartfelt project of its owners, who live in Germany, and was born after several years of reconstruction and renovation works on former plain stables. What catches your eye immediately upon entering the holiday home, are the rocks protruding from the wall. They form the natural back of the house and have been deliberately integrated into the rooms.
La Casa dell’Upupa with its two interconnected units was completed in 2023. When renting the accommodation, both units, which means the main house *and* the annex, are always made available. There is a connecting door between the units, which you can either close or leave open.
THE "MAIN HOUSE"
The main ‘wing’ of La Casa dell’Upupa is located to the left and includes a living area with kitchen unit, dining furniture and sofa, a bedroom with double bed, a sleeping gallery with double bed and a bathroom with bathtub (and shower device). You have to climb stairs to get to the bedrooms.
The kitchen of the main house is furnished with, amongst others, electric stove, oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. The holiday home also features WiFi and fly screens.
THE "DEPENDANCE"
This unit, like the "main house", accommodates up to 4 persons. It is accessible from the living area of the main house as well as from the outside, via the terrace, which runs along the house.
The dependance includes a living area with kitchen unit, dining area and sofa bed, a bedroom with double bed and a bathroom with (barrier-free) shower. The high-quality sofa bed with top-quality mattress is approx. 1.40 m wide.
The kitchen is furnished with, amongst others, electric stove, refrigerator and washing machine.
La Casa dell’Upupa was never meant to be only a summer accommodation and has therefore been equipped with underfloor heating. Especially between November and March, this provides for even more comfort during your stay.
THE PANORAMA TERRACE AND THE OLIVE TREE
The long terrace in front of the house is slightly terraced, furnished and partly shaded by two sun sails. Another lovely, furnished spot where you can unwind lies below the terrace, under an old, majestic olive tree. And, you may never tire of enjoying the magnificent panoramic view of Camerota’s coast.
If you don’t want to let the day fade away at the holiday home or in its outdoor area, take a short evening walk to the chapel of Saint Antonio nearby. Locals love to stop by there to watch picturesque and colorful sunsets.
