Climb the stairs to the next floor and here you’ll find the comfortable double bedroom. Due to the age of the property the stairs to the 1st floor may provide more of a challenge to older guests. When you’re ready to explore the town, you’re just a few steps away from Dolgellau’s main square.

With its narrow streets, friendly pubs and fabulous cafés and restaurants, the traditional market town is a wonderful place to wander.

There are also numerous walks on your doorstep, taking in the spectacular mountain landscapes of this unspoilt area of Snowdonia National Park, and the beaches of Fairbourne and Barmouth are just a short drive away.

It’s a fabulous base to explore Snowdonia.

If you want mountain biking, you have everything including the flat Mawddach Trail which follows the old railway bed to the lovely seaside town of Barmouth.

If hurtling down hills on two wheels is your thing, then Dolgellau is the nearest town to Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Centre and further north you have the rugged slate tracks of Antur Stiniog in Blaenau Ffestiniog.
