Situated in a quiet road within the heart of the historic market town, Stow-on-the-Wold, at the end of a short terrace of cottages, you will find this delightful end of terrace property, Spinners Cottage.
Built in the 18th century, the cottage is beaming with character such as exposed wooden beams, Cotswold stone walls and inviting woodburning stove.
The property has recently been completely refurbished but completed in such a way to ensure that its charm and character have been retained.
As a 300 year old property the stairs to the bedrooms are steep and may not be suitable for elderly guests. Ideal for families or groups of friends, Spinners Cottage is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle for you to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings Stow has to offer.
Offering two homely bedrooms, sleeping up to four guests and benefits from the option of booking with neighbouring Primrose Cottage. Park your car in the allocated space or in the surrounding free roadside parking and make your way into the courtyard garden and in through the front entrance.
Unload your luggage and kick your boots off in the well sized entrance hall and into the charming sitting room where you can curl up on the sofa in front of the TV or read a book at the welcoming window seat, whilst the wood burning stove warms you in the colder evenings.
Prepare your home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen and dine at the dining table. Retire for the evening upstairs in one of the two welcoming bedrooms; the master bedroom contains a king-size bed and benefits from an en-suite shower room; the perfect spot to wash down after a long day and lay your head and you can take advantage of the quaint window seat and admire the day closing to night.
The second bedroom contains a double bed and also benefits from a delightful window seat. Outside, at the front of the property, you can enjoy a glass of bubbly or al fresco dining in the seating area in the courtyard garden. Just a short walk away from your door step are many local amenities including pubs, tearooms and individual shops.
Stow is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many scenic walks and cycle routes right on its doorstep, and if you want to enjoy the scenic spots that The Cotswolds have to offer, why not arrange a tour with Cotswold Walks & Hikes & Bikes, all just a short car journey from Stow. If you want to discover the history of Stow, take a walk around the market square, where you will find the town stock at one end which dates back to the 15th Century and is shaded by an old Elm Tree and at the opposite end, you will find the ancient Market Cross, originally erected as a symbolic reminder to traders of the times to deal honestly and fairly.
Take a stroll over to St Edward’s Parish Church where you will find the enchanting looking tree surrounded doorway; it is here you will find a memorial of those who fought in the last Civil War. Discover over 500 species of birds by visiting Birdland Park & Gardens, which is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic, surrounded by wildlife, or perhaps make a visit to the nearby village of Bourton-on-the-Water and discover a miniature replica of the Cotswold-stone village at The Model Village. Spend the day in beloved towns in the North Cotswold such as Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh and Burford or further afield in Cirencester and Oxford where you will find Blenheim Palace.
Or perhaps you want to enjoy the serenity of local neighbouring villages such as Broadwell, Lower Swell and The Oddingtons, where you can reward yourself from a long day walking with a mouth-watering refreshment in one of the popular inns For a perfect countryside getaway with loved ones, choose Spinners Cottage.

Note: The two other cottages in the row have a right of access through the garden, to reach their properties.
Note: We ask that dogs remain downstairs, stay off the furniture and that no trace of a dog remains after your departure. One well behaved dog welcome.
Note: This is an old property with character features, including steep stairs and low beams, which is laid out over two floors, and could therefore pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility.
Note: The property’s courtyard garden is enclosed; however, the neighbouring properties have a right of access through this garden, which could result in the gate to the road or the gate to the neighbouring property not being closed properly, consequently, young children and pets should be supervised outside at all times.
Note: An initial basket of logs is provided for the woodburning stove between October and April; further log supplies can be purchased locally.
Note: The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, this is a traditional fair for people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted; Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed.

Another wonderful stay at Spinner's cottage in Stow on the wold. We had such an enjoyable time last year, we returned again and so glad we did. Such a beautiful cottage in a prime location, it has everything you need to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Cotswolds, regardless of the weather. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with the highest regards, you won't regret it.

Spinner’s Cottage is a small, comfortable and cosy house in a very convenient place close to the centre of Stow on the Wold. There are plenty of shops and pubs within walking distance and the availability of an off road parking place is a bonus.
