This cosy, single-storey chalet is set in a spectacular waterside location overlooking Bovisand beach and directly out to sea. Within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, six miles from Plymouth, the chalet offers wonderful views over Plymouth Sound and with a choice of beaches within walking distance this makes this the perfect base for a restful holiday by the sea. From the open plan living area you're able to admire the amazing views from the glazed patio doors.To the front, those sea vistas continue from the patio where a table and chairs provide the perfect spot to enjoy a spot of alfresco dining and watch the sun set over the sea at the end of a sunny day. Two double bedrooms share a family bathroom and offer a restful place to stay.
Walkers can join the South West Coastal path right from the door and the area offers superb fishing, rock pooling and paddle boarding.
After which you can spend the afternoon in one of two excellent pubs, serving food in nearby Down Thomas.
Just six miles away is Devon's Ocean City of Plymouth; drive to Mount Batten and get the water taxi during the summer months to arrive in style on the historic Barbican.
From here it's just a short stroll to The National Marine Aquarium and a variety of restaurants and bars.
The famous Plymouth Hoe holds many events throughout the year including the British firework competition and is home to Smeaton’s Tower, The Royal Citadel and the Tinside Lido, an open air swimming pool.
After a day in town, why not spend a day on the moors; beautiful Dartmoor National Park is also within easy reach.

59 Bovisand Park is a single-storey chalet boasting wonderful beach and sea views, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, six miles from Plymouth. This cottage sleeps four people and has two double bedrooms, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area with double sofa bed. Outside there's a patio with furniture to enjoy the seascape beyond. With two good beaches within walking distance and a host of attractions in nearby Plymouth 59 Bovisand Park is a great place to stay.

the living room heating needs an overhaul tpless complivated heaters,The remote controle did nut work and the panel heating was difficult to control as the digital temperature setting figures have broken down,The patio door lock kept jamming ,eventualy siezed up completely and had to be left unlocked, there is a emergency communication difficulty when problems like this arise

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay and ideal for my elderly Mother who was happy to sit and watch the world go by. Advised Sykes after our last stay in September 2024 that there is no freezer (only a small freezer compartment in the fridge), but that there is a washing machine. Property is still showing the incorrect description today (July 2025).

The sink in bathroom was very tiny while we appreciate it was a small space I think the design was wrong. The stressless chair has seen better days. Also we were not happy with rubbish, recycling & food waste or should we say lack of it!! Other than that property was adequate & well equipped. Bovisand site itself was very clean & the cafe was excellent.
