Discover this characterful barn conversion, tucked away beyond country lanes in the heart of Shropshire.
Designed with families and friends in mind, this stone-built barn conversion is wonderfully presented from the outside in, commencing with a beautiful diner with an extra seating area.
Underfloor heating graces the property, bringing warmth to those cooler nights, with beams overseeing the layout and spotlights that give off a cosy glow.
There is a sofa and a TV so you can relax here whilst preparing those home-cooked meals, with seating at the table for eight people to come together.
If you can steer yourself away from the comfy set-up, why not settle down in the separate lounge; a spacious arrangement finished with homely features.
A wood-burning stove and a sumptuous corner sofa provide all the seating you need for a lovely night in.
The first floor continues the characterful features of this barn conversion, two stairways lead up to the bedrooms; one side houses a walk-in shower, whilst the other is presented as a bathroom with a shower above.
Under exposed beams and Velux windows, the upper level offers somewhere charming to escape to after a day of sightseeing and adventure.
The suntrap patio area is a lovely chance to enjoy the fresh air, reflect on your journeys so far, and of course, make more plans.
There are many things to do within walking distance of the property. 4 minutes walk from the barn is Heath Chapel; a 900 year old Anglican Chapel on the National Heritage list for England due to it's ancient wall paintings and faithfulness to it's original construction.
If you are slightly more active around a 30 minute walk away you could visit the Nordy Bank Iron Age Hill Fort then onwards up to the top of the highest hill in Shropshire The Brown Clee, worth a visit even if it is just for the views of the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Ludlow, a historic market town, is a shopper’s dream.
The town has many places to eat and drink, including Michelin starred pubs and restaurants as well as a number of exclusive boutique style clothes and gift shops.
With more than 500 listed buildings, the town provides a fascinating range of architecture including Ludlow Castle.
The Cow Byre is within easy reach of Church Stretton (described as little Switzerland by the Victorians), Shrewsbury and Hereford, as well as popular attractions such as the World Heritage site of Ironbridge Gorge, birthplace of the industrial revolution, and the worlds first iron bridge.
The Severn Valley Railway in Bridgnorth, Berrington Hall, Croft Castle and Cardingmill Valley and Much Wenlock are also all within a 30 minute drive.
This area has a wealth of things to do and will be a holiday to remember.
