This spacious and beautifully decorated cottage in the heart of the vibrant Cotswold village of Milton Under Wychwood is perfect for get togethers for families and friends in all seasons and provides a warm and high quality base from which to explore the Cotswolds.
Able to accommodate 8 adults and 2 children (and accepts two medium sized dogs at a small additional charge), the outside terraces, front and back, both have dining table/chairs and the back garden garden extends to double the width of the cottage providing ample lawn for the kids to run around with far reaching views and direct access to a wide choice of footpaths leading to farm shops and pubs that allow guests to enjoy the outside as much as the cosy comfort of the interiors with open plan kitchen / dining area, breakfast bar and multiple sitting areas including a wood burning stove for chilly evenings.
Each of the four large bedrooms have king size beds and ensuite bathrooms (one of the upstairs bedrooms has an adjoining twin room for two children). Fairview Cottage has all of the modern comforts you would expect from a perfect home from home, located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with far reaching views towards Lord Astor's Bruern Estate.The bright and well equipped kitchen is ideal for entertaining and the large 3m dining table opening out onto the front terrace will enable guests to create many memories of shared moments during their stay. Fairview is entered through a glazed porch leading into an extensive sitting room with a woodburning fire and cosy sofas.
From there three pairs of French doors open directly out onto the back garden with a generous covered terrace.
The spacious and bright kitchen/dining area with double Siemens ovens (one of which is multi-function steam), two generous Fisher and Paykel fridge freezers, and five burner gas hob spans the whole depth of the cottage.
From there a link room leads to a generous downstairs bedroom suite, with shower and roll top bathtub on the ground floor.
Upstairs, two of the king-size bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms, whilst the third bedroom upstairs has a tub and shower and also a small side room with twin beds for children.

Due to layout of bedrooms, Fairview Cottage is suitable for 8 adults + 2 children Fairview Cottage is a cottage located in Milton Under Wychwood, Oxfordshire. It sits on the edge of the village and overlooks the surrounding fields. Inside has an open-plan living room with a wood burning stove, a fitted kitchen and dining area. There is also a ground floor cloakroom and WC. A ground floor king size double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and wc.Upstairs has three king-size bedrooms, all with an en suite bathroom and WC, as well as one twin bedroom. The accommodation is suitable for 8 adults and two children as the twin bedroom is accessed via an upstairs king bedroom, separated by a curtain and shares the bathroom. Outside has an enclosed lawned garden area with a terrace and furniture provided. BBQ available- please note that charcoal is not supplied. To avoid a £100 cleaning fee, the BBQ must be thoroughly cleaned after use. Parking is available at the property for three cars. WHILST Fairview Cottage is the ideal property for friends and families. Pets allowed from 1st October 2024 - two well behaved medium sized dogs allowed. NO PARTIES ARE ALLOWED AND MAXIMUM 10 GUESTS IN THE PROPERTY OR GARDEN AT ANY TIME.
Note: The owner will only take a week booking for Christmas and new year. No short breaks.

Note: BBQ at the property (Charcoal NOT provided, Must be left clean or a £100.00 cleaning surcharge will apply)
Note: Two well behaved medium sized dogs allowed.
Note: The cottage is situated in a quiet residential area, and guests are kindly requested to keep noise to a reasonable level at all times, and particularly when enjoying the garden and terrace. Due to proximity of neighbours, no music is to be played in the outside areas.
Note: No more than ten people to be in the property or garden at any one time. Parties are specifically, not permitted.
Note: The first floor king-size double with ensuite also contains two single beds, with the area being separated by a curtain.

The house was very well equipped and very comfortable, all beds lovely. It was also very warm, and even though we turned all the thermostats down , it remained warm, probably due to the incredibly mild Christmas weather. I’m sure it wouldn’t normally be an issue!

This is a spacious well appointed comfortable property suitable for all ages. The property is on the Hight Street but set back and quiet. The back looks out onto open countryside, with accesss through a gate to a green path to a country bridle path. Perfect and peaceful.

We had a great stay in what was a wonderfully generous cottage in both size and facilities. The children really enjoyed the garden and the views from the garden were wonderful - we saw so many lovely sunsets over the landscape.
The property was bright, comfortable and characterful too.
We would definitely stay again.
