Wookey is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, nestled between the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels, just two miles from the cathedral city of Wells.
The stunning landscape is home to a diverse range of wildlife with excellent walks and cycle routes.
Within easy reach are many beautiful sandy beaches, stretching along the North Somerset coast and numerous visitor attractions.
All on one level, The Milking Parlour is an attractive, detached property; thoughtfully converted using local materials.
Lots of lovely original features remain, including wooden beams, colourful 200 year old Glastonbury roof tiles and stone drinking troughs; now transformed into interesting plant holders.
Inside, the lofty lounge with high raftered ceiling is flooded with light from the full height windows which run the length of the room.
The kitchen/diner opens onto the sunny patio at the side of the property, overlooking the owners' orchard; the backdrop to which is the stunning Mendip Hills.

This is the 3rd time we have been to The Milking parlour. It has everything you need like a home from home and a lovely welcome pack going over and beyond.
Pauline and David are the perfect hosts friendly and helpful; they are available if you need to ask them anything.
All in all a wonderful property.

The cottage is excellent! We found it very easily from the owners directions and found the keys in the door ready for us. The owner welcomed us after giving us chance to settle.
We found the cottage extremely clean with a welcome pack of wine,butter, milk and eggs. The cottage is very well appointed comfortable and perfect for a family holiday.
