This large house lies in the tranquil village of Wookey, near the historic city of Wells in Somerset.
It is part of the Wookey Vicarage that was built in the 1800's. It's a property bursting with character and period features, situated in an excellent location for exploring the Mendip Hills and the surrounding area, providing a useful base for families or groups of friends wanting to experience Somerset.
Upon entering the house, you will find yourself in an impressive hallway boasting a number of period features that just add to this property's charm, such as the original servants' bells attached to the staircase.
On your right is the spacious sitting room with plenty of comfortable seating around a warming woodburning stove, a cosy space for relaxing with the family after a busy day sight-seeing or hiking in the hills.
Tucked away is a door that leads to a passageway with convenient WC and a further door that leads into the courtyard that leads to additional parking and the garden.
Downstairs there is also a large, fully-appointed kitchen with dining area.
This is a sociable space, where you can cook up a fantastic meal together or sit and chat at the table, deciding on where to go and what to see the following day. The sleeping accommodation can be found upstairs and consists of three cosy bedrooms.
The spacious double and twin rooms each have the added luxury of the en-suite shower rooms.
There is also a single room and a large family bathroom.
Outside there is a shared garden, that has a large lawn meandering towards a small stream at the bottom of the garden.
The property lies in the village of Wookey, situated on the banks of the River Axe on the edge of the glorious Mendip Hills.
Nearby is the historic centre of Wells, known as England's smallest city.

Glebe House is a lovely cottage situated in the village of Wookey near Wells in Somerset. It can sleep five people within its three bedrooms, two of which have en suite shower rooms and there is also a family bathroom. Downstairs there is a sitting room and a large kitchen with dining area. Outside there is an enclosed garden that is shared with a neighbour, as well as off-road parking for one car and roadside parking for another. Glebe House is a property full of character in a peaceful countryside location.

An extremely well equipped comfortable cottage very high standard of cleanliness. Literally everything that you needed on hand a real home from home! Well positioned in a quiet village with all the amenities needed like a shop and two pub’s within walking distance! We highly recommend and will return.

Really lovely house, it has everything you could possibly need. It was very comfortable and the shower in the main bedroom was amazing. Great location within in easy walking distance to two
Pubs. It is very close to Wells as well.
Would be ideal for a family or group of friends.
