A modernised, traditional Scalby cottage offering light and airy accommodation, in a pretty village tranquil setting within three miles of Scarborough.
Ideally placed for exploring the Yorkshire coast and North York Moors.
Note: This cottage is next to Refs. 6960 & 7333 and together they accommodate 11 people.

No. 1 Low Hall Cottages is set with two others in the village of Scalby, close to Scarborough. There is a first-floor twin bedroom and a double, and a ground floor bathroom with bath, hand held shower attachment, basin and WC. The fitted kitchen has a dining area, and the sitting room has doors to the garden. The communal deck has a BBQ, and there is off road parking for 1 car. With the moors and coast both within easy reach, No. 1 Low Hall Cottages makes a great holiday base. Property only accepts one booking per week. Note: Two well-behaved dogs welcome, the second dog is at a supplement of £10. If you cannot add your pets at the time you make your booking please contact Sykes Cottages after you have made your booking, to have your pets added/pay any relevant supplement. Note: Property only accepts one booking per week. Please Note: There is a picturesque church near to the property with a working clock.

Second visit in two months, loved the picturesque village of Scalby and the location, size and design of the cottage accommodation. Overall it was comfortably furnished and provided everything we required for an enjoyable stay. It would have been perfect if the property has a shower but it’s absence wasn’t prohibitive to enjoying the stay.

All good but minor niggles which if addressed could result in a better overall score:
Plastic storage containers in fridge broken.
Battery cover on remote control missing.
Casserole dish cracked and repaired with glue.
Directions insufficient, especially in the dark plus the postcode not recognised by sat nav.
Overall enjoyed our stay, good heating system.

Had a lovely holiday and cottage is in a really nice location. We thought the cottage was a little tired and could possibly do with a face lift. Was a good base for us but think it needs a little TLC. Would definitely stay there again.
