Gaïa is charming eco-gîte at end of little path in quiet part of Romans-sur-Isère.
Nathalie and Patrice welcome you to their eco-friendly straw and timber-frame house (self-built 2014) ideally located for getting together with family or friends.
Enjoy a comfortable stay in this house built of wholesome, natural materials – you'll feel so good you won't want to leave.
Apartment on 2nd floor of owners' house.
Living room with open-plan kitchen & dining area, (wood pellet stove).
Balcony (view of Vercors, overlooking shared garden). 3 bedrooms – one with en-suite facilities (2 single beds) (two 80x200cm beds OR queen-size bed) (two 80x200cm beds OR queen-size bed).
Shower room, separate WC.
Also available: Internet (wired connection), parking on property, shared garden. Wonderful location in peaceful setting yet close to centre of old medieval town, perfect for exploring this region with its many tourist attractions and rich gastronomy.
Just 60 min. from Grenoble, beside river Isère, between Rhône valley, Vercors foothills and the Drôme des Collines.
Close to some famous tourist attractions: collegiate church of Saint Barnard, Jacquemart Tower, International Shoe Museum, Shoe visitor centre.
Stroll along little pedestrianised streets in historic centre (lots of shops & restaurants). 30 min. away: Valence (rivalling Romans), Hauterives (Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval), abbey of Saint-Antoine, Tain l'Hermitage (wines).
Be sure to sample some 'pogne', a local speciality (crown shaped brioche flavoured with orange blossom water).
