This property is ideal for wine lovers as this is close to many well-known wineries. Fontanelle is in a spectacular position, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees, cypresses and with views of the surrounding hills. The owner a renowned Italian Architect and Interior Designer has restored and furnished Fontanelle at an exceptionally high standard. The house has been featured in several books and magazines, including House and Garden, Elle Decor and Tuscany Interiors for its charming style. The rooms have been painted and furnished throughout in warm, natural colors, which blend perfectly with the brick tiled floors, exposed beams and sunny open spaces. The magnificent living room with vaulted ceilings opens to the rear of the house to a pretty terrace with vines, pots of flowers and views over the countryside. Off this terrace is a covered dining terrace, overlooking the outside surrounding countryside with wonderful views. Please note that it might be a cat who lives in the garden. For those who would like to enjoy food there are several excellent restaurants close by. One of the wineries most loved by guests is Castello di Banfi where you can taste its excellent wines as dine in one of its two restaurants. Many villages are short drive distance Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Bagni San Filippo and Siena is just one hour drive as well as the coast.
